Ask and ye shall receive. Or will you?

Neale Donald Walsch wrote in the book “Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue.” (a must read!).

The correct prayer is therefore never a prayer of supplication, but a prayer of gratitude. When you thank God in advance for that which you choose to experience in your reality, you in effect, acknowledge that it is there.. in effect. Thankfulness is thus the most powerful statement to God – an affirmation that even before you ask, I have answered. Therefore never supplicate…Appreciate.

To often in life we ask rather than show gratitude. We pray to God to give us what we want, like a small child throwing a tantrum and nagging his parents to no end. Then we wonder why we don’t receive what we asked for and why god has forsaken us.

Showing gratitude and trusting the process of natural events is a much better way to live your life. Rather that ask for things, show appreciation for the things you have and the things yet to come. You see, God, Nature, the Universe. whichever you call it… knows what it’s doing. Trust and be grateful.
